It doesn’t get more traditional than a slow roasted brisket for Passover. This kosher family favorite is a delicious and easy addition to your holiday meal.


  • 4-6 lb beef brisket
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 large onion
  • 4-5 carrots
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Fresh rosemary sprig, left whole (use two if brisket is larger)
  • 2 cups beef or chicken stock


Place brisket in the slow cooker and sprinkle with salt. add onions, chopped carrots, garlic, bay leaf and rosemary on top and pour beef or chicken stock over top.

Cover, set to high and cook until the beef is fork-tender, about 4-6 hours.
